About Us

The Golden Egg farm is family owned and run. We are situated on the Wybong Creek near Scone in the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley.

We have been running beef cattle for over 27 years and have decided to complement our farming business by introducing Pasture Fed Hens.

With farming today you need to diversify to have the ability to enjoy a rural lifestyle which we enjoy very much.

We began our egg adventure in October 2015 by ordering our first movable Chicken Caravan which arrived in December,  followed by 450 Hy-Line Pullets in January.

We started with 40 hens giving us beautiful eggs daily, which has helped us  to get started and introduce us to the egg world before our new hens started to lay in the following autumn.

With demand for our eggs through 2016 we will grow our hen numbers to 900 by the spring with our second Chicken Caravan due to arrive soon.

We deliver weekly down the Hunter Valley.
